Terms of Use
Effective 15 July 2026
1. About these terms
These Terms of Use apply to your use of the HorseRouter website, widget and related tools, including our MCP integration for AI agents (together, the "Service"). The Service is operated by Horse Router DAO ("HorseRouter", "we", "us"). By using the Service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
These terms take effect on 15 July 2026.
2. What HorseRouter does
HorseRouter is a swap aggregator. We compare quotes from partner exchanges and liquidity providers ("Partners") and show you a route and an estimated amount.
We do not hold, custody or transfer your funds, and we do not generate wallets for you. You send your funds to a deposit address provided for your swap, and a Partner executes and settles the swap and sends the result to the receiving address you gave us. HorseRouter is not a bank, broker, exchange or financial adviser.
3. Eligibility and your declaration
By using the Service you confirm that:
- you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these terms;
- you are following the laws that apply to you, and your use of the Service is lawful where you live and where you access it;
- the funds you swap come from lawful sources, and you are entitled to use the receiving address you provide;
- you are not located in a country or region listed on our Restricted countries page, and you are not the subject of sanctions;
- you will not use the Service if the law that applies to you prohibits it.
4. How a swap works
Blockchain transactions are generally irreversible. You are responsible for checking the receiving address, the asset, the network and the amount before you send anything. We cannot recover funds sent to a wrong address, on a wrong network, or in a wrong amount.
- You choose the assets and amount and receive a quote.
- You provide a receiving address.
- You send the funds to the deposit address shown. Only send the exact asset on the exact network shown.
- The Partner completes the swap and sends the result to your receiving address.
5. Rates and fees
Quotes are estimates and can change before a swap is completed. We aim to show the best rate available from the Partners at the time of the quote, but we do not guarantee that it is the best rate available anywhere, or that the final amount will match the estimate.
Our fees depend on factors such as the type of swap, the amount and any applicable discounts. The fee and the estimated amount you receive are shown in the quote before you confirm. Network fees and Partner fees may also apply.
6. Partners and third parties
Swaps are carried out by Partners, not by HorseRouter. Each Partner has its own terms, risk checks and compliance requirements, and may ask for additional information, delay a swap, or refuse to process it. We do not control Partners and are not responsible for their acts, omissions or availability.
7. Failed swaps and refunds
If a swap fails or cannot be completed, whether and how your funds are returned is decided by the Partner handling the swap, under that Partner's own terms. Refunds are not under our control and we cannot promise them. If you need help, contact support and we will try to assist, but we cannot guarantee an outcome.
8. Compliance, screening and your responsibility
We do not screen the receiving addresses you provide or the wallets you send funds from. You are responsible for the receiving address you use and for the source of the funds you swap, and you use the Service at your own risk.
Partners screen incoming deposits and may hold, return or refuse funds as required by law or their own policies.
We may cooperate with authorities where the law requires it. See our AML policy summary for more detail.
9. Prohibited use
You must not use the Service to:
- break any law or regulation that applies to you, including sanctions and anti-money-laundering laws;
- launder money, finance terrorism, commit fraud, or move funds that come from criminal activity;
- evade a restriction on the Service, including by using tools that disguise your location;
- interfere with or overload the Service, or access it through abusive automated means;
- manipulate markets or the quotes we show.
10. AI agents and the MCP integration
If you connect an AI agent or other software to the Service, you are responsible for everything it does on your behalf, including requesting quotes and creating swaps. Check the details of any swap an agent prepares before you send funds.
11. Stocks and tokenized assets
Stock and tokenized-asset swaps work the same way as crypto swaps. They are provided, executed, settled and recorded by Partners. HorseRouter does not issue, hold, broker or advise on these assets. Whether you may use these features depends on the Partner and on the law that applies to you.
12. Risks and no advice
Crypto assets are volatile and you can lose all of the value of what you swap. Please read our Risk warning. Nothing on the Service is financial, investment, legal or tax advice.
13. Limitation of liability and indemnification
13.1 What HorseRouter is. HorseRouter is a comparison and routing service. It displays quotes from independent partner exchanges ("Partners") and routes your swap through a Partner. HorseRouter does not create wallets, hold, receive or transmit your funds, or execute or settle any swap. Each swap is executed and settled by the Partner handling it, under that Partner's terms and compliance policies, and HorseRouter is not a party to it.
13.2 No responsibility for Partners and networks. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Horse Router DAO ("we", "us") is not responsible for: (a) the acts, omissions, delays, refusals, holds, refunds, insolvency or regulatory status of any Partner; (b) any Partner's decision to hold, return, freeze or report a transaction under its AML, sanctions or other legal obligations; (c) blockchain congestion, forks, outages, exploits or failures of any network, bridge, wallet or other third-party infrastructure; (d) network, gas or miner fees, whether or not a swap completes; (e) funds sent to a wrong address, wrong network, wrong asset, or without a required memo or tag; and (f) any change in law, regulation or enforcement that affects a swap, a Partner or an asset.
13.3 Quotes are indicative; no best-price guarantee. Quotes and rates shown are estimates supplied by Partners and may change before or after you send funds. We do not guarantee that any quote is the best available price, that a rate will be honoured, or that rates shown here will match rates shown elsewhere. You are responsible for checking the quote and the deposit address shown before you send funds.
13.4 Exclusion of indirect loss. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive loss, or for loss of profit, goodwill, data or opportunity, however caused and whether in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise, even if we were told it was possible.
13.5 Cap on liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to the service or these Terms is limited to the greater of (a) the fees we actually received from the swap that gave rise to the claim and (b) USD 100.
13.6 What is not limited. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud or wilful misconduct, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the law that applies to you. If you are a consumer, you keep the rights the law gives you that cannot be waived by contract.
13.7 Indemnity. You will indemnify us and our officers, directors and employees against losses, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from a claim brought by a third party, including a governmental or regulatory authority, to the extent it is caused by: (a) your breach of these Terms; (b) your violation of any law, including sanctions and anti-money-laundering law; (c) your misrepresentation of your eligibility, identity, location or the source of your funds; or (d) your use of the service with funds that are the proceeds of crime. We will tell you promptly about the claim, you may have reasonable control of its defence, and neither side will settle it in a way that binds the other without consent.
13.8 Release. You agree that your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the service is to stop using it, and that Partners, not we, are responsible for the performance of any swap, subject to clause 13.6.
14. Suspension and changes
We may change, suspend or stop the Service, or refuse service to anyone, at any time. We may update these terms; the updated version applies from the date shown at the top of this page, and continued use means you accept it.
15. Governing law and dispute resolution
15.1 Governing law. These Terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them, are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Marshall Islands, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The agreement to arbitrate in this clause is governed by the laws of Singapore, the seat of arbitration.
15.2 Informal resolution first. Before starting any formal proceeding, you must email general@horserouter.com describing the dispute and what you want. We will both try in good faith to resolve it within sixty (60) days of receipt.
15.3 Binding arbitration. If a dispute is not resolved within that period, it will be finally resolved by arbitration under the Arbitration Rules of the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) in force when the arbitration is started. There will be one arbitrator. The seat of arbitration is Singapore. The language is English. The arbitration and any award are confidential, except as needed to enforce an award or as the law requires. Judgment on the award may be entered in any court that has jurisdiction.
15.4 Individual claims only. Disputes will be resolved only on an individual basis. You and we waive any right to bring or take part in a class, collective, consolidated or representative action or arbitration.
15.5 Exceptions. Either of us may (a) bring an individual claim in a small claims court that has jurisdiction, and (b) ask any competent court for urgent injunctive or other interim relief to protect intellectual property or the security of the service.
15.6 Opt-out. You may opt out of arbitration by emailing general@horserouter.com within thirty (30) days of first using the service, stating your name, the wallet addresses you used, and that you want to opt out. If you opt out, disputes will go to the courts of Singapore, which will have exclusive jurisdiction, and clauses 15.1, 15.2 and 15.4 still apply.
15.7 Consumers. Nothing in this clause removes any right you have as a consumer under the law of your country of residence that cannot be waived by contract, including any right to bring a claim in your local courts.
